Fires are only permitted in the designated braai facilities and fireplaces.
Fires or fireworks are not allowed on the beach or surrounding areas. Guests must exercise caution when braaiing, ensuring that hot coals or ash are never left unattended.
Smoking inside the house is strictly prohibited; cigarettes must be extinguished safely in an ashtray. Candles may be used with care to prevent damage from hot wax.
The property operates on a septic system. Guests must only flush toilet paper down the toilets.
Guests are requested to respect neighbours and avoid disturbances. Loud music or excessive noise is not permitted, particularly after 22:00.
All outdoor lights should be switched off after 22:00.
Guests are asked to respect the local fauna and flora.
Guests should exercise caution around baboons, which are focused on food but generally not aggressive unless threatened. Windows and doors should be closed and secured when not in immediate use. Baboons must not be fed. If a baboon enters the house, guests should remain calm and allow it a clear exit route.
No pets are allowed unless prior arrangements have been made. Guests bringing animals must comply with applicable bylaws.
Guests must not move furniture, which may cause damage, and should respect locked cupboards as private property of the owners.
Guests are responsible for reporting any damage or breakages. Costs for repair, replacement, excessive cleaning, or laundry will be charged to the guest. All furniture, fixtures, fittings, and effects must be maintained in the same condition as at the start of the stay.
The property should be left clean and orderly, including the stove, fridge, barbecue, and all kitchenware.
