Mayfair Mountain Lodge is situated in the picturesque town of Lady Grey in the Eastern Cape, at the foot of the Witteberg mountain range. It is located approximately 260 km from Bloemfontein and 54 km from Aliwal North. Our guest lodge offers comfortable and relaxed accommodation for travellers seeking to experience the tranquillity and natural beauty of the area.
The lodge is conveniently located near various hiking trails, 4x4 routes, and popular local attractions. Guests can enjoy breathtaking mountain views, admire the abundant birdlife, stargaze beneath clear night skies, and experience the peaceful atmosphere of the surrounding countryside.
Mayfair Main House – Spacious Self-Catering Accommodation (Sleeps up to 8 Guests)
The Main House is the ideal choice for families, groups of friends, or small groups travelling together. The house is rented as a complete self-catering unit and offers spacious, comfortable accommodation in a tranquil mountain setting.
The house features four bedrooms, each furnished with a double bed. One bedroom has a private en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, basin, and toilet. The remaining three bedrooms share a spacious bathroom equipped with a bath, shower, basin, and toilet.
The fully equipped open-plan kitchen includes a dishwasher and washing machine and flows into a cosy living and entertainment area with a fireplace. The house also features a dining room, indoor braai facilities, and two verandas with stunning mountain views.
Our Room 1 – Self-Catering Cottage is a private self-catering cottage features a double bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. Guests can relax on the private veranda while enjoying the fresh mountain air.
Our Room 2 – Self-Catering Cottage is a comfortable self-catering cottage features two single beds and is ideal for friends or colleagues who prefer separate sleeping arrangements. The unit includes a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. Relax on the private veranda and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area.
Kiepersol – Honeymoon Suite is a cosy and private self-catering unit, ideal for honeymoon couples or guests looking for a romantic getaway. The suite features a fully equipped kitchen and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet.
Guests can unwind while enjoying the breathtaking mountain views. The peaceful surroundings, fresh mountain air, and natural beauty create the perfect setting for an unforgettable stay, making Kiepersol truly special.
The Garden Room forms part of the Main House but offers its own private space and can be rented as a separate unit. It is ideal for overnight stays.
The unit features a comfortable double bed and an open-plan bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet. For self-catering convenience, the room includes a fridge, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
