220-volt power is supplied by solar panels and an inverter. There are flashlights and battery-powered lights in the house for power outages.
Hot water is provided by a solar-heated geyser.
The owners have borehole/farm water that is safe to drink, but guests are also welcome to bring bottled water.
Pets are not allowed.
