Beautiful picture. Ideal for a stopover on the way or for an extended visit. The view is breathtaking over the river. We wanted to do the trip to the hippo pond, but it was a bit out of our budget. Very meaningful restful place. New Holme Lodge had everything I hold dear. Quiet, exquisite natural beauty being situated on the Karoo Gariep Reserve. Our room was extremely comfortable with lots of hot water. The staff could not do enough for us even though our stay coincided with their off season.

Awesome lodge, would definitely recommend to anyone needing accommodation. Arrived in the dark and was greeted by such an amazing host, a lovely family that own this lodge. Had an awesome 3-course dinner, lovely chats and would definitely recommend this lodge. Electric blanket, lovely hot showers.
