Description

Nieuwedrift Accommodation is tucked away on a working wheat, sheep, and wine farm just outside the town of Piketberg in the Swartland region. The town lies at the foot of the Piketberg mountain range and is characterised by vineyards, colourful wheat fields, fruit farms, and indigenous fynbos.

The two cottages are load-shedding free thanks to a recently installed solar panel system. Nieuwedrift Cottages offers two 2-bedroom units, each comfortably accommodating up to 4 adults. The main bedrooms are air-conditioned and feature ceiling fans, queen-size beds, and en-suite bathrooms fitted with a bath. The second bedrooms each have 2 single beds, along with a ceiling fan and air-conditioning. Both cottages are fitted with Egyptian cotton linen and include a second full bathroom with a shower.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, cookware, and a dining table. The lounge offers comfortable seating, a fireplace, and a TV with DStv, as well as Netflix in Cottage 1 and Netflix and Waka TV in Cottage 2. Each unit also provides free Wi-Fi, a braai area, and secure parking.

A covered braai facility is available on the patio, along with an open fire pit on the lawn.

There is a nearby restaurant open from Wednesday to Sunday, with times available on request.

Activities in the area include golf, hiking, mountain biking, visiting local farm markets, zip-lining at Piekenierskloof Mountain Resort, wine tasting, and 4x4 trails.
