Nieuwedrift Accommodation is situated on a working wheat, sheep, and wine farm just outside the town of Piketberg in the Swartland region. The property is set against the backdrop of the Piketberg mountain range and is surrounded by vineyards, colourful wheat fields, fruit farms, and indigenous fynbos, offering a peaceful farm-style retreat in a scenic rural setting.
Accommodation is provided in 2 self-catering cottages, each comprising 2 bedrooms and able to accommodate up to 4 adults per unit. The main bedrooms in each cottage are furnished with queen-size beds and include air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and en-suite bathrooms fitted with a bath, a toilet, and a washbasin. The second bedrooms are furnished with 2 single beds and are fitted with air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Both cottages include a second full bathroom fitted with a shower, a toilet, and a washbasin, and are furnished with Egyptian cotton linen.
The kitchens are equipped for self-catering and include a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, cookware, and a dining table. The living areas offer comfortable seating and a fireplace, with Cottage 1 featuring a TV with DStv and streaming services, and Cottage 2 offering a TV with streaming services. Free Wi-Fi access is available in both units.
Each cottage includes a braai area, with covered braai facilities available on the patio as well as an open fire pit on the lawn. Secure parking is provided on-site. The property is supported by a solar system, allowing for uninterrupted comfort during load shedding. A nearby restaurant operates from Wednesday to Sunday, while a variety of activities in the surrounding area include hiking, mountain biking, wine tasting, golf, farm markets, ziplining at Piekenierskloof Mountain Resort, and 4x4 routes.
