Dit was fantasties. Dit is 'n stunning, skoon plek. Het 'n amazing uitsig. Huge yakas, baie cutlery en crockery. Lekker kuier area buite by die braai. Groot kombuis. Groot TV met comfy couches. Daar is 'n fireplace binne vir koue aande.

House needs some maintenance but overall stay was ok. The house needs some maintenance, but not bad overall. There was a terrible smell that came through the drains, which was really unpleasant, and the braai as well as parts of the house leak when it rains, which is not ideal if you are trying to braai.

Potensiële goeie kuierplek vir groepe: alles is daar, maar benodig net aandag. Vir 'n groot groep, in ons geval familie, is Nyala View 'n gerieflike kuierplek. Instandhouding is egter nie op standaard: hoofslaapkamer se stort oorstroom tot in die kamer, daklekke in oopplan vertrek, gaste toilet buite werking, dekplanke gee plek-plek mee, alhoewel onder dak reën braai sop nat, meeste kastroldeksels sonder handvatsels, ens. Administrasie: onvoldoende toegang reëlings!

It was a 6/10 stay for me. The stay was overall not too bad, and the place itself is beautiful. However, a few issues should really be addressed. After the first night, the drainage system in the bottom rooms clogged, and all the sewage came through the shower, leaving a terrible smell. The planks on the deck also need fixing, as small children’s feet could easily get stuck in the gaps. Unfortunately, the spa pool was not working at all, which was disappointing since it was winter and we had planned on using it. On the positive side, communication was easy, and arranging a safari vehicle and guided safaris was straightforward. In my opinion, for the price we paid, these issues should be resolved to bring the standard of the accommodation up to where it should be.

Overall is dit 'n lekker huis as mens baie mense is, het die huis genoeg slaapkamers. Goeie more. Het lekker gebly, die dek met die swembad en jacuzzi is baie lekker. Die huis kort bietjie aandag. Daar is 'n gedeelte van die houtdek wat stukkend is (mens kan sien hul het probeer regmaak). As iemand daardeur val, sal hul probleme hê. Daar was nie 'n bottelopmaker gewees nie, die potte en panne se steel is af, dink hul kan bietjie nuwe breekware koop. Daar is nie plekmatjies nie, ook nie 'n tafeldoek nie, tensy ons dit misgekyk het. Die toilet in die een gastekamer werk nie, daar is baie ligte wat nie werk nie (bulps moet seker vervang word). Die plek kan bietjie skoner gemaak word. Die stortgordyne kort ook 'n skoonmaak. Die stort in die een gastekamer is ook stukkend, hul moet daarna ook kyk. Die stoep was vol voëlmis, ek weet nie of hul die plek skoongemaak het nie. Die cuttlery kan ook opgedateer word. Ek het gevra vir skoonmaakdienste Sondag, niemand het opgedaag nie. Die swembadlig werk nie. Ek het nie van die begin af 'n QR-kode ontvang wat ek by die hek moes wys nie.

Natuurskoon, ontspan, rustigheid. Nyala View was fantasties. Die huis was toegerus met alles en meer. Dit was heerlik om net uit die stad se gejaag uit te kom en die natuur te besigtig. Dankie, dit was voorwaar weer een vir die boeke.

We had a great time in spite of some challenges. We were a large family group gathering to celebrate an elderly member's birthday, and everyone enjoyed themselves despite some of the challenges posed by Nyala View. There are several loose planks on the stairs leading to the property as well as on the upper decking. As someone else mentioned too, there are screws protruding from some planks as well - not great if you walk around barefoot to and from the swimming pool. The quality of material and state of repair and cleanliness of the lodge is not of the highest standard. The bathrooms could do with a deep cleanse. There is a rotting smell coming from a drain somewhere, especially irritating after everyone washed and showered in the morning. The in-built BBQ was a bit of a challenge; small, cooking for 15 people, and we had to place some bricks to ensure the coals did not fall onto the deck or into people's flipflops. The gas BBQ is missing some screws from its legs and we could not use it because it is extremely wobbly. The downstairs/garage/Boma area is a bit of a dump site, not at all pleasant to walk through - it also becomes a mini lake during rain. Some doors are missing locks. In spite of all the above, we managed to have a good time, and the agent and on-site handyman did their best to assist with any small issues such as load shedding affecting the water supply, WiFi needing a replacement cable, so no fault there. For the rate we paid, it was good value for money but we think Nyala View can do with a decent makeover to allow it to be really great.

Fantastic family getaway. We were a large group of brothers and sisters from my and hubby's side of the family that went away to Nyala View in February 2023. What an amazing place and the service - just everything. We had basic power during load shedding - TV, lights, Wi-Fi etc. Absolutely fabulous - we will be back!

We had a very disappointing weekend. Since the day we arrived, until we left we didn't have any water! Pool net was not on, not even bothered to do that, after it was mentioned, months ago as a major issue for us. Safari vehicle didn't work. Inverter didn't cover some lights, including room lights, no wi-fi as stated!
