House Rules
As we host guests from all walks of life, we have established a few ground rules to ensure that everyone has the best possible experience during their stay. We encourage you to feel comfortable and treat our home as your own. We truly love our unit, which has been thoughtfully created for our guests, and we hope that you will enjoy it just as much. Please treat it with care and leave it as you found it so that every guest may enjoy it equally.
HOUSEKEEPING
As our homes are self-catering, housekeeping is not included in your booking. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after themselves. However, for stays of a week or longer, linen will be washed and replaced once per week at no additional cost.
Housekeeping services can be arranged at an additional cost.
NOISE DISTURBANCES
Please note that this is a residential area. Guests are kindly requested to keep noise levels at a reasonable level out of respect for neighbours.
Noise levels must be kept to a minimum after 22:00.
VISITORS
You are welcome to invite visitors; however, the total number of individuals on the property may not exceed 6. Overnight guests are limited to the number specified in your booking.
PARKING
The property has a double garage where two vehicles may be securely parked during your stay.
SECURITY
Please ensure that the alarm is activated when leaving the property.
Ensure that all windows and doors are properly closed before leaving to avoid interference with the alarm system.
Please activate the stay alarm at night.
Fires may only be made in designated areas.
WATER USAGE
As Namibia is located in a desert region, guests are encouraged to conserve water wherever possible.
Ways to assist include:
Ensure taps are fully closed to prevent dripping
Keep showers short, preferably under 5 minutes, and turn off the water between rinsing
Do not leave water running while brushing your teeth
Avoid baths where possible
Keep drinking water in the fridge to avoid running the tap while waiting for it to cool
Only run the dishwasher and washing machine with full loads
SMOKING
In accordance with Namibian law, smoking indoors is strictly prohibited. Any guest found in violation may be fined. Please use designated outdoor areas such as the terrace or garden.
DAMAGE AND BREAKAGES
Please report any breakages so that items can be replaced for the next guest.
No blankets, towels, or any other items may be removed from the property.
In the event of damage or missing items, the person responsible for the booking will be held liable.
REFUSE AND RECYCLING
When indoor bins are full, please remove the bag and dispose of it in the large black bin on the property.
Guests are requested to clean up after themselves, including dishes and waste. Your cooperation in maintaining a hygienic environment is appreciated.
PARTIES AND GATHERINGS
While you are welcome to invite guests, parties and large gatherings are not permitted. As the property is located in a residential area, guests are required to respect neighbours and comply with noise restrictions by limiting excessive noise after 22:00.
OTHER
Please remove sandy shoes before entering the house.
