Description
Oystercatchers is a self-catering home located in the seaside village of Rooi-Els. This beach holiday house offers stunning views of False Bay and the Kogelberg mountains. Oystercatchers is ideal for a tranquil break away from city life.
This double-storey home overlooks the beach and can accommodate 12 guests. The rooms are as follows: 3 bedrooms inside (downstairs has a queen bedroom with bathroom with shower and bathroom next door, as well as a guest toilet; upstairs has 1 room sea facing with two single beds and 1 room mountain facing with double bed and bunk beds, and a bathroom with shower and bath and separate toilet). The outside cottage has two rooms , one garden facing with queen bed and ensuite bathroom with shower, and the other mountain facing, with two single beds, with ensuite bathroom with shower. The well-equipped kitchen contains a fridge, a microwave, new gas oven and stove, and other appliances and utensils to use.
The house boasts 2 living areas; the first is an informal lounge, and the second lounge is opposite the dining area and has a wood-burning fireplace. The second lounge leads out to the verandah, which has 2 outdoor tables with seating overlooking the garden and mountain. There is also a braai area and an outdoor hot-water shower for guests to use.
The property has private access down to the beach and the river. At the bottom of the private path, just 10 metres down from the garden, is a little cove where you can set up your umbrellas and watch your kids swimming, boogie boarding, fishing and playing beach sports,
When you don't feel like cooking, Rooi Els offers 3 great restaurant options, located a few minutes from the property. The town has a unique biodiversity of birdlife and animal life, including the protected, local baboon troop. Please note there are baboon proof windows and verandah door gate to prevent baboons entering the house - notes will be given at check in.
