Description

Phillipskop Mountain Reserve is a scenic and peaceful private nature reserve where guests can unwind in harmony with nature and immerse themselves in the rich biodiversity of the Cape fynbos. Comfortable eco-chalets with sweeping mountain views offer a peaceful escape from the pace of everyday life. This is an ideal setting to slow down, reconnect with nature, family and friends, enjoy meaningful time outdoors — or to work remotely in inspiring surroundings.

Each chalet accommodates up to seven guests in three bedrooms and features a spacious open-plan living area that opens onto a wooden deck with expansive views. The kitchens are fully equipped for self-catering, and each unit includes a private braai area facing the mountain slopes. Solar power with battery back-up ensures a reliable electricity supply, while a wood-burning stove adds warmth and comfort on cooler winter evenings.

Overnight guests enjoy exclusive access to Phillipskop’s unique natural swimming pool and are welcome to explore the 246-hectare reserve throughout their stay. A network of marked day hiking trails winds through diverse fynbos and mountain habitats, and a rock art site of local heritage significance offers a glimpse into the area’s past. For guests wishing to deepen their understanding of the landscape, guided fynbos walks are available by arrangement with your hosts.
