The stay was nice and just one thing that occurred which wasn't really nice. The stay was nice; however, one thing happened with the owner wanting to check us out, and he went about it the wrong way. There was no communication that we were speaking or laughing too loud, and he came and said he was checking us out due to being loud. However, I let him know that I wished they had communicated this to us before approaching us in this manner, as we are reasonable people, so if we were loud, we would have kept the noise down.

Beautiful. Pleasant. Peaceful. It was pleasant. The place is more beautiful than the pictures. It wasn't daily room service as promised, though, and we had to ask for tissues in the toilet. Random clothing items were hung in the bathroom for days. The pool wasn't clean, so we couldn't swim. The workers were very helpful and friendly, however. They have good people working there. The location is the best, and the owner really made an effort in beautifying the place. It was value for money 150%. Affordable, we got more than what we paid for. I want to stay there again when I go to Cape Town.

The host did tend to our WiFi and TV needs. There are some things that can be updated, such as in our room there was a light that kept flickering even when it was off. There are no official rules put up anywhere or shared with the guests. So there were some guests that were noisy right through the night, the whole weekend. There was no off-street parking available; luckily, it was a safe area.

Not quality at all. No Not at all!! Bathroom is chaos, no hot water, had to ask for towels! Bedside lights don't work! No bathroom mats! And the residents' underwear and toiletries are hanging and lying around in the bathroom! Gas bottles are loose and dangerously lying around in the kitchen. No milk and coffee, we had to provide ourselves🤨.

DISGUSTING! PATHETIC ! DISAPPOINTED! A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY ! This was the most horrible and disgusting experience we have ever had at a guest house! I would strongly not recommend this place to anyone! Firstly, the host, Edward, was not welcoming at all. He didn’t even give us a tour of the apartment. When we entered our self-catering apartment that we booked, there was a dirty glass and plate in the sink. I then confronted the host, and his response was that he forgot to clean it. He then washed the dishes with his hands in front of us, took the dishes, and left the sink wet. Secondly, there were no dishcloths to wash or dry the dishes. When my partner requested cloths, the host, Edward, and the manager, Rashid, wanted to give us two dirty cloths that were not even dishcloths. Thirdly, my partner almost slipped when he entered our apartment again because there was a puddle of water on the floor beneath the geyser due to the geyser leaking. We then brought this to their attention, and all they said was that it was because the geyser was leaking. There was not even a mop in the apartment to dry up the water. Fourthly, the Wi-Fi was not working, and we couldn’t even take a shower because the water was ice cold. My partner went to the main house again, and they insisted, with an attitude, that the Wi-Fi was working and the water was warm, even when my partner told them to come check and see for themselves. The host denied the dirty dishes, and the manager, Rashid, did not give a damn about our concerns or issues in the apartment. Instead, he also had an ugly attitude and showed no remorse for our disappointment. We have been using the website for the past 5 years, and we have never had such a horrible experience and such terrible hospitality before. We contacted the website immediately that evening, and the agents were very helpful and empathetic towards our dissatisfaction. They tried to get us a refund, but the manager, Rashid, refused to compensate us for the above-mentioned issues. Instead, the website took responsibility and compensated us! We will definitely continue to use the website, but we will NEVER use or recommend PLATTEKLOOF QUEENS GUEST HOUSE!
