Stay was pleasant; they just need to attend to those few issues. The guest house is located in a good area. The only issue is the gate access; they open it for you every time you go out or come in. The aircon doesn't work, and there are cockroaches in the kitchen, but overall it's a good stay.

Beautiful. Pleasant. Peaceful. It was pleasant. The place is more beautiful than the pictures. It wasn't daily room service as promised, though, and we had to ask for tissues in the toilet. Random clothing items were hung in the bathroom for days. The pool wasn't clean, so we couldn't swim. The workers were very helpful and friendly, however. They have good people working there. The location is the best, and the owner really made an effort in beautifying the place. It was value for money 150%. Affordable, we got more than what we paid for. I want to stay there again when I go to Cape Town.

DISGUSTING! PATHETIC ! DISAPPOINTED! A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY ! This was the most horrible and disgusting experience we have ever had at a guest house! I would strongly not recommend this place to anyone! Firstly, the host, Edward, was not welcoming at all. He didn’t even give us a tour of the apartment. When we entered our self-catering apartment that we booked, there was a dirty glass and plate in the sink. I then confronted the host, and his response was that he forgot to clean it. He then washed the dishes with his hands in front of us, took the dishes, and left the sink wet. Secondly, there were no dishcloths to wash or dry the dishes. When my partner requested cloths, the host, Edward, and the manager, Rashid, wanted to give us two dirty cloths that were not even dishcloths. Thirdly, my partner almost slipped when he entered our apartment again because there was a puddle of water on the floor beneath the geyser due to the geyser leaking. We then brought this to their attention, and all they said was that it was because the geyser was leaking. There was not even a mop in the apartment to dry up the water. Fourthly, the Wi-Fi was not working, and we couldn’t even take a shower because the water was ice cold. My partner went to the main house again, and they insisted, with an attitude, that the Wi-Fi was working and the water was warm, even when my partner told them to come check and see for themselves. Only to find that they did not put the geyser on before we arrived. The host denied the dirty dishes, and the manager, Rashid, did not give a damn about our concerns or issues in the apartment. Instead, he also had an ugly attitude and showed no remorse for our disappointment. We have been using the website for the past 5 years, and we have never had such a horrible experience and such terrible hospitality before. We contacted the website immediately that evening, and the agents were very helpful and empathetic towards our dissatisfaction. They tried to get us a refund, but the manager, Rashid, refused to compensate us for the above-mentioned issues. Instead, the website took responsibility and compensated us! We will definitely continue to use the website, but we will NEVER use or recommend PLATTEKLOOF QUEENS GUEST HOUSE!

Beyond our expectations. We went as a large group and we absolutely enjoyed every part of our stay. The aesthetics, architecture and decor were gorgeous. The space itself was accommodating. The pool was definitely our favourite part. It's so good, our group is gatekeeping it to make many more bookings at a similar place. It won't be the last time seeing us.

Quick sleepover. Very safe accommodation and large rooms. Kitchen and lounge, braai and pool area that are shared, are very large and modern. Lots of electrical points. Comfortable bed and pillows. No air conditioning in any rooms (it is there but cannot be turned on), bathroom in the Executive 3-Sleeper is open (so share room with people you are comfortable with), no parking behind fence (but it is really safe on the sidewalk), no WiFi. Place just needs a little TLC. We only had a quick sleep (in 22:30 and out 09:00) - so for us it was all we needed.

Very disappointing and unpleasant. We were told we could check in earlier at 11 am (check in is at 2 pm) got to the place and it was filthy! Gave them the benefit of the doubt although they were the ones who said we could come earlier. By 2 pm they were still busy cleaning. We booked the dorm as we mainly wanted the place for the pool area, the dorm is in a literal garage! No windows! We left early as that was definitely not a place we wanted to sleep over. It was unpleasant to say the least.
