Pumula 4 Star Guesthouse Knysna is an African name for "rest". For lovers of nature, the tranquil parkland atmosphere supports an abundant bird life. The lodge is centrally situated between the town and the famous "Knysna Heads" which allows for easy access to all the attractions in the area. Guests can enjoy the surrounding area which is rich in indigenous forests, wildlife, and scenic views making the lodge a rich offering for visitors.
The lodge has 2 kings, 2 twins and triple bedded bedrooms, all en-suite western bathrooms with private entrances which is ideal for adults and children over 10. Each bedroom has its own private patio, which overlooks the beautiful gardens and some overlook the swimming pool. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed with luxurious bedding, free Wi-fi, international electrical plug, channel tv, microwave, toaster, bar fridge, just everything you need to make your stay a memorable one.
In the evening guests can choose from a selection of fine restaurants, which are located within 5 minutes drive or enjoy a covered barbeque facility overlooking the swimming pool at the lodge.
Although close to the town it is the parkland atmosphere which sets Pumula apart from the other guesthouses in Knysna.
The owner is an enthusiastic birder and can advise guests on the best birding spots in the area. The lodge is also situated close to a bird sanctuary.
The beautiful Knysna golf course is only 500 metres from the lodge and a further 6 top golf courses can be visited on day trips, which are within a 70 kilometer radius of the lodge.The owner is also a keen golfer and can assist guests in planning a wonderful golfing holiday.
We specialize in offering a private, tranquil stay for guests receiving treatments at the Knysna Private Hospital and Advanced Health medical centre which is 600 meters away.
If you’re visiting Knysna for medical care or to support a loved one, you shouldn’t have to worry about long drives or noisy hotels. Pumula Lodge is perfectly located only a few minutes away from both hospitals, offering easy access and a peaceful place to rest.
