Raapfontein Self-catering and Camp is situated on a farm 17 km from Hanover in the Northern Cape and offers accommodation with beautiful views of the Karoo.
The double-storey self-catering unit accommodates 4 to 6 guests in 2 bedrooms. The ground-floor bedroom has a double bed and 2 single beds, while the upstairs bedroom has a double bed and 2 single beds. Guests share a bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet on the upper floor. The open-plan living area includes a kitchen equipped with a fridge, two-plate stove, oven, microwave, dining area and lounge. There is also a covered braai area and undercover parking. The unit is pet-friendly and has a large enclosed area for dogs.
The camping area can accommodate 4 groups of 4 guests per site. Guests can pitch tents under large trees and enjoy the stars around the campfire in the evenings. Ablution facilities include 2 showers, 2 separate toilets and an open wash-up area. There is also a dishwashing area with views of the Karoo plains. Warm water is supplied by a gas geyser, and Eskom electricity points are available.
Saffier Caravan is self-catering with a private stoep, braai and dishwashing area. The caravan has a two-plate gas stove and a gas fridge and accommodates 2 adults and 2 children, or 3 adults in 2 double beds. Guests share the camp ablution facilities.
Karoo Glamping is a Chobe Dome tent set up seasonally, featuring a double bed. The tent has a gazebo for shade, a small kitchenette with coffee facilities and a table with chairs. Ablution facilities are shared with the campsite.
Merino Cottage is a self-catering open-plan room with either 2 single beds or a king-size bed. It has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, a fully equipped kitchen and a stoep with a covered braai area. The room has an enclosed area where pets are welcome.
The property also features a farm swimming dam, perfect for cooling off and enjoying Karoo sunsets. The dam is available in December and January.
