Rietrylaagte Accommodation and 4x4 is located 5 km off the N7 on a dirt road, near the small farm community of Trawal. The accommodation makes for an ideal stopover while travelling between Cape Town and Namibia, or for those coming to view the flowers during spring.
Patrys comprises 2 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 4 guests. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the second bedroom has two single beds. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin. Linen are supplied, but guests are required to bring their own towels. There is an air-conditioner and an alarm system in the house. The lounge has comfortable seating, and a large, built-in braai. The kitchen is equipped with everything guests will need for a carefree, self-catering stay. Guests are also treated to chocolates, and coffee- and tea-making facilities. The unit has a TV with easyview, as well as Wi-Fi. The unit also has a Khol Khol hot tub big enough for 4 guests.
Kolgans comprises 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. Linen is provided, but guests are required to bring their own towels. The lounge area has comfortable couches and a TV with Netflix. The unit also offers free Wi-Fi connection and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The unit has an alarm system and a covered patio with braai facilities.
Tarentaal is our small unit, suitable mainly for overnight stays, especially if you do not mind the sound of the transformer running to keep the pumps operating. It is located next to the working store.
The unit can accommodate 4 guests and features two separate rooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. The unit has a bathroom with a shower and toilet. There is a well-equipped kitchen and an outdoor braai area.
Guests can relax on the veranda and enjoy watching and listening to the guineafowl as they noisily return home in the evenings. Linen is provided, but guests are required to bring their own towels.
There is cell phone reception in certain areas on the farm to stay in touch with loved ones. Guests can also make calls using Wi-Fi.
Experience farm life without sacrificing modern comforts. Guests may also spot wildlife on the farm and enjoy the sounds of nature. Be sure to visit the white ostriches, and you may even be treated to a visit from the peacocks, turkeys, and guineafowl, putting on a delightful show.
Activities include admiring the flowers during blooming season, walking among the animals on the farm, 4x4- and mountain biking trails to enjoy. The farm also has ample opportunities for photographers to capture the landscapes, wildlife, sunsets and sunrises.
