Rietrylaagte Accommodation is situated on a working farm near the small farming community of Trawal and offers a peaceful countryside stay between Cape Town and Namibia. Guests should note that the property is accessed via a 5 km gravel road. The accommodation is ideal for overnight stays or for visitors exploring the area during the flower season.
Accommodation is offered in 3 self-catering units, namely Patrys, Kolgans, and Tarentaal. Patrys accommodates up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom contains 2 single beds. The unit includes air-conditioning, a lounge with seating and a built-in braai, a fully equipped kitchen, WiFi, a TV with EasyView channels, and a KolKol hot tub. Kolgans comprises 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, an open-plan kitchen and living area, comfortable seating, a TV with Netflix, WiFi, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and a covered patio with braai facilities. Tarentaal is a smaller unit suitable for overnight stays and accommodates up to 2 guests in a room with 2 single beds. The unit has a bathroom with a shower and toilet, a kitchen, and an outdoor braai area. Linen is provided in all units, while guests should bring their own towels.
Guests can relax on the patios and enjoy birdlife on the farm, including guinea fowl, peacocks, and turkeys. WiFi is available and cellphone reception is accessible in certain areas of the farm.
Activities on the property include flower viewing during flower season, walking among the farm animals, 4x4 routes, mountain biking, and photography opportunities for landscapes, wildlife, sunsets, and sunrises. The farm is also home to white ostriches.
