River's End Farm is situated on the banks of the Klein River Lagoon within a peaceful bird sanctuary, approximately 7 km from the village of Stanford. The property offers a unique countryside escape with self-catering accommodation surrounded by wetlands, mountains, and natural landscapes.
Accommodation is offered in the River Cabin and the Black Eagle Bus, as well as campsites for guests wanting a more traditional outdoor experience.
The River Cabin accommodates up to 8 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The sleeping arrangements include 2 double beds and 2 bunk beds suitable for up to 4 children. The open-plan living area features selected DStv channels and opens onto a spacious deck overlooking the surrounding landscape. Guests can also enjoy a wood-fired Kol-Kol hot tub.
The Black Eagle Bus is a restored classic camper van that accommodates 2 adults. The unit comprises a sleeping area with a double bed and a bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, cutlery, crockery, cookware, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Linen and bath towels are provided. The camper operates on solar power and includes a wood-fired Kol-Kol hot tub.
Guests have access to canoes, a paddle boat, braai facilities, and outdoor areas where they can relax and enjoy the surrounding birdlife and scenery. The property operates on renewable energy and borehole water, offering an eco-friendly farm stay.
River's End Farm is ideally located for guests wanting to explore the area, with nearby attractions including beaches, limestone rock formations, and Hermanus, which is approximately a 30-minute drive away. The farm also offers camping facilities, which are listed separately on the platform.
Please note that lagoon water levels change naturally with the seasons. Depending on rainfall, guests may experience open waterways suitable for paddling and canoeing, or exposed lagoon areas that can be explored on foot.
