Friendly but disappointing.

My stay at Royal Pelican was a disappointment. The room is as advertised. The room next door's aircon was so noisy that I did not get much sleep. It sounded like a main battle tank starting up. I eventually gave up, packed my stuff, and took a nap in my vehicle at my designated workplace. If you intend to use the braai facility, I think you should let them know in advance so they can clean off the dust and remove the animal droppings from the braai furniture. The TV and WiFi are top notch. In essence, my rate paid for a place to prepare a meal and shower.

Thank you for your feedback. Apologies for the inconvenience of the air conditioner next to your room making a noise. We replaced and bought a new air conditioner 2 days after your stay on 24 May 2024. After receiving your feedback, we addressed the problem immediately.
Regarding the monkeys playing around the braai area and their droppings: we have put a procedure in place. The braai area will be serviced again at 15:45 to ensure that it is ready for guests to use late in the afternoon. (We also clean it in the mornings, but we will do a final check late in the afternoon as well.) Thank you for staying with us. Hopefully, these changes will benefit future guests. You are welcome to book with us again in the future.
