Description
It boasts a large window seat overlooking the San Gabriel Forest and part of the rose gardens. The unit can accommodate 2 guests and is furnished with a king-size bed, and the en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower, a bath, a basin, and a toilet. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a vintage Defy stove, fridge, induction plate or stove, a microwave, and blue and white antique crockery. Mr. Bickerton's cottage was built in 1754 and was built prior to the San Gabriel Manor House, which was erected in 1756. It is a restored, original Cape-style cottage. The charming little cottage was the original home of Paul Hertzog and his family, who founded the farm during the construction of the manor house. Mr. Bickerton’s Cottage eventually served as the stables but was transformed into the eponymous guest cottage, frequented by Mr. Bickerton, an Englishman who moved to the Cape from Great Britain.

Description
Vineyard Quarters is a semi-detached cottage situated on the beautiful historic farm, San Gabriel Homestead, that dates back to 1756 and can accommodate 2 guests. It is furnished with a king-size bed and the en-suite bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin. The kitchen is well-equipped with a fridge, microwave, stove, oven, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. The cottage that was historically part of the slave quarters was later converted to a summer cottage for guests from all over Europe. The cottage is the perfect breakaway for a couple who enjoys the peace and tranquillity of farm life, but is still centrally located with the Cape Winelands and greater Cape Town right on the doorstep.

Vineyard Family Cottage features a spacious patio with tables and chairs overlooking the beautiful, historical rose garden and ancient fountain. The comfortable vintage rooms are cool in summer, cosy in winter and just a step away from the pool. San Gabriel's Vineyard Cottage is part of the heritage of the Cape and was part of the original slave quarters was later converted to a summer cottage for guests from all over Europe. The renovated cottage, with its old-world charm still intact, is the perfect breakaway for family or friends who enjoy farm life and the outdoors.
