Restful, peaceful, wild, dark skies, animals. The location was amazing, we were in number 5 cottage that had a lovely view of the sunset and rocks, and animals that wandered through the camp. We didn't see the elephants drinking at the pool but did see a family of 13 elephants just by the road into camp. The dark skies were amazing with a great view of stars and the Milky Way, and we loved the baobab trees. All of the rangers were very helpful, especially the one at the Confluence and museum. We did a game drive with Leonard where we saw lots of animals. We came to see the Limpopo River at the confluence and were not disappointed. The only disappointment was we were unable to do the Heritage tour as it was full of students that day. It would have been helpful if we could have been informed of that when we booked in, as we could have done it the day before. We did see the history in the museum, which was interesting. We also wanted to do the boardwalk but were informed it has not been open for 2 years. Overall, it was a lovely experience that we are glad we chose to do.

Change time Mapombogwe. The place is beautiful, quiet and tranquil. I wish it was closer to Johannesburg. The pool was beautiful, night-time drive fantastic and the museum really good. I also wish all children could go visit Mapumbugwe to understand African history. I also wish that at the Confluence, there were SA and Zim flags. Only the Botswana flag!

Will definitely be back. Loved the swimming pool, the outside shower, and the nature. Just an amazing spot. Not too busy. If you want to enjoy scenery without a telephone, this might be a place to go.
