Description
SANParks Nature's Valley Rest Camp is situated in the Tsitsikamma region of the Garden Route National Park, within the De Vasselot Nature Reserve on the banks of the Groot River. The camp is located approximately 30 km from Plettenberg Bay and 40 km from Storms River Rest Camp. This birdwatcher's paradise offers a variety of day hiking trails, while guests can also enjoy canoeing, swimming, and sailing. Nature's Valley Beach is nearby and is ideal for surfing, swimming, or simply relaxing in the sun.
Accommodation at the camp includes 10 forest huts, each furnished with 2 single beds and equipped with standard three-pin power outlets. Each hut has its own braai facilities and shares communal kitchen and ablution facilities.
The camp also offers 2 semi-detached chalets, each accommodating up to 3 guests. These chalets feature private bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens, and comfortable living areas.
For those who prefer camping, there are 65 campsites nestled among the indigenous forest. All campsites are shaded by trees, providing a peaceful, natural setting.
The communal ablution facilities are equipped with electric geysers. Coin-operated washing machines and tumble dryers are available in the main ablution block for guests' convenience.
Guests can purchase basic necessities at the village shop and enjoy meals or refreshments at the local restaurant and bar. Canoes are available for hire from reception, allowing visitors to explore the scenic Groot River and surrounding waterways.
