An amazing stay! What a delightful stay! We felt so at home. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and we all fell in love with Lulu the dog. Breakfasts were lovely and served with a smile. The rooms were spacious and we all slept well. Definitely worth a return visit.

Our stay at Saxon Lodge was very pleasant. We had a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was very pleasant. Location is in the older area of Gansbaai overlooking the harbor and several fish factories and caravan park. However, for a 4-star lodge we expected more in terms of view and location.

Peaceful stay near the harbour. I had a 7-day stay which was very peaceful. The property/unit was neat and clean, and the staff was friendly. WiFi is fast and stable (~75mbps). They have a very cosy bar area, although I did not use it. I stayed during low season and got a free upgrade to one of the self-catering units. Overall, good value for money!

Wish I could stay longer. It was more than I expected. The room had a lounge as well to my surprise. I stayed in the sanctuary room.

Much as expected although not sure being central means much in Gansbaai anymore. We went during a quiet time of the year, so all was relatively quiet. Great sunset views.

Thank you for your review Please assist with letting us know what was 'verwaarloos'. We have kept the space old worldly and rustic as this is the personality of the lodge. You chose the cheapest, economy room for your stay and when I approached you to ask how your stay was, there were no complaints. We have never claimed lock-up parking. We are clear about the Courtyard suites being on the south side of the courtyard and have targeted this to the budget traveller. I am also surprised you were unable to get assistance; however, I also accept that was your experience.
