Thank you for the great 5-star review. The lodge is run by the owner, and yes, that shower and kitchen was built by my son, who is a superb carpenter. That hardwood shower is great, and there's even a sea view. We have great spots to visit on our doorstep, the scone shack being the top favourite, plus all the surrounding nature, our stunning beach, and the incredible sunsets. All this at the tip of Africa and an hour from Cape Town; it's as good as it gets.

Absolutely fantastic. Janis was an amazing host. Met us at check-in, gave us a quick tour and told us a bit about Scarborough. The Olive Cottage was fantastic and the sunset was out of this world. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful wooden cabin with breathtaking views only half an hour out of the city. My husband and I had a wonderful staycation in the Olive Cottage. The view was out of this world, but we particularly loved the feel of being in a beautiful wooden cabin. We had initially booked for Tree-tops, but luckily our lovely host messaged to ask if we wanted to upgrade due to the weather being on the chillier side. We felt very welcome and well looked after! The cabin itself is beautifully finished and very cosy. You're also surrounded by amazing birdlife, and just a stone's throw away from the main restaurants, shops, and beach. We'll be back!
