Description
The Seisoen Karoo Retreat was built in 1854 in the historic Karoo style; this old manager’s farmhouse is situated in the tiny town of Richmond, in the Northern Cape of South Africa. Despite its modest population count, the little farm town boasts some of the most majestic landscapes. The gabled farmhouse front looks over the gravel garden, a bevy of small ponds.
Seisoen Karoo Retreat is a self-catering farmhouse that can accommodate up to 4 guests comfortably and comprises 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. The first bedroom contains a king-size bed and an open-plan en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom contains 2 single beds and a shower en suite.
The house has a well-equipped kitchen to prepare meals that is fitted with an oven and stove, a fridge, deep freezer, and cutlery and crockery. The beautifully furnished living area opens to a patio with outdoor dining furniture and loungers, the ideal place to relax.
Seisoen is built on the banks off the Ongers River. Guests can enjoy mountain biking, take long walks through the village or lie flat with a pile of reading material on the stoep and just enjoy this remote Karoo landscape.
