Description

The tranquil Agatha Mountains are home to Sherwood’s Country House, a small Victorian country house situated 13 kilometres above Tzaneen in the Limpopo Province. The property is located within an hour’s drive of the Kruger National Park.

The accommodation comprises 7 rooms, including 3 Standard Rooms, 2 Classic Rooms and 2 Deluxe Rooms. Some of the rooms have private verandas. All rooms are equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities, en-suite bathrooms with a bath and/or shower, and satellite television. Guests can relax by the swimming pool during the pleasantly warm summer days. A fully licensed bar is also available.

The Rooikat hiking trail begins 1.5 km from Sherwood’s and leads to the New Agatha Forestry Station. This four-hour hike takes you through both cultivated and indigenous forests in a mountainous setting and ends down in the valley, where you will find a beautiful stretch of the Bob’s River with refreshing crystal-clear water, large rock pools and waterfalls. It is the perfect place to spend a lazy sunny afternoon swimming in unspoilt privacy.
