Description
Shipwreck Lodge offers all-inclusive accommodation in the Skeleton Coast Park, located between the Hoarusib and Hoanib Rivers, approximately 45 km north of Mowe Bay. The solar-powered lodge provides scenic views of the desert and dunes, with a refreshing breeze from the cold Benguela current.
Accommodation comprises 8 twin chalets and 2 family chalets, each individually decorated. Every chalet is furnished with twin beds and features an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and basin. Additional amenities include a writing desk, bedside lamps, a wood-burning stove, and tea- and coffee-making facilities provided in each chalet.
Meals are served in the main building’s restaurant, and guests can enjoy the bar area and deck overlooking the horizon. Activities and excursions are available, including sundowner drives in the dunes, beach picnic lunches, visits to the Mowe Bay seal colony, and Hoarusib River excursions.
