Interesting experience. Having access to the pool was great as there was no water in the dam. 40 degree heat was unbearable and the pool made all the difference to our stay. Bats and spiders in the house were interesting. AC was useless and the fireplace sucks all the cold air out. I was able to cover it with a blanket and it made some difference. Loads of mosquitoes. Beds and linen were amazing. I slept really well thanks to the mosquito net around the bed. The place is definitely more a winter vacation spot for sure. The dirt road to the cabin is terrible. If you don't have an SUV, don't expect to be able to drive to the cabin at all. The local beer we ordered from the bar was very good. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the WiFi wasn't working at all and nobody could help sort it out. So being disconnected, as there is no signal or reception, was a little uneasy in case of an emergency.
