Description
Southern Cross is a lovely self-catering cottage, with a private entrance, situated on the owner’s property in Scarborough, Cape Town. It is ideal for couples, small families, groups of friends or digital nomads who are looking for a comfortable, peaceful space to enjoy the village or explore the south peninsula.
This cottage is on the first-floor and can accommodate up to 4 guests and comprises 2 wings. The main wing includes a large open-plan living space leading onto a deck overlooking the ocean, and 1 bedroom that is furnished with a double bed, with direct access to the deck, and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, basin, and toilet. The smaller interleading wing includes the second bedroom furnished with a three-quarter bed, and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin and toilet and also has access to a small courtyard. In addition, this wing includes a small living space with a single bed and a small deck overlooking the ocean. Bed linen and bath towels are provided.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, gas stove, oven, cutlery and crockery and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The interleading wing can be accessed via the main living room or, separately, through a door leading from the deck at the entrance to the house and it has a kitchenette that is equipped with a fridge, gas stove and oven. A washing machine is provided for added convenience. The dining and lounging areas have comfortable seating for guests to dine and relax. Access to Wi-Fi is available.
Guests can enjoy a private deck with outdoor seating, a braai and unspoiled views of the ocean and the surroundings. Secure parking is available on the premises. Local amenities such as shops and restaurants are within close proximity, with Scarborough beach being approximately 1 km away. Scarborough is a wonderful place for people who enjoy nature and particularly activities like surfing, kite-surfing, hiking and birdwatching. Neighbouring towns like Simon’s Town is approximately 13 km away.
