St Lucia Wilds offers self-catering accommodation in garden cottages situated in St Lucia, surrounded by the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Positioned within easy reach of the town centre, restaurants, and shops, the property provides a convenient base from which to explore one of the oldest and most diverse natural reserves in the world.
Accommodation is offered in 2 family cottages located next to each other on the ground floor. Each cottage comprises 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom fitted with a bath and shower. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed, while the second bedroom contains 2 single beds. The open-plan living area includes a kitchen, a dining space with a 6-seater table, and a lounge with comfortable seating, a TV with selected DStv channels, and additional bunk or stack beds suitable for children. Sliding doors lead to a semi-private braai (barbecue) area and a small garden, while each unit has a separate entrance and garden space.
Each cottage features a kitchen equipped with the necessary appliances for self-catering, as well as insect netting on all windows and doors. The units are serviced daily before 13:00, and free Wi-Fi is available. Covered parking is provided with 1 allocated carport per unit.
Guests have access to shared on-site facilities, including a communal swimming pool and a gallery with a book exchange and visitor information. The property features a natural garden that attracts local wildlife such as vervet monkeys, bushbuck, and a variety of birdlife. The owner resides on the premises, and art painting activities are available on request for guests seeking a creative experience.
