Everything was above and beyond expectation. The cottage was perfect for the four of us. The host was fantastic and suggested activities, even booked us a restaurant. There were some nice treats for us in the fridge upon arrival, which is a great touch.

We had such a great stay and visit in Barrydale. 10 out of 10. We had a great stay and had a great time, relaxed, braaied and enjoyed the Klein Karoo. Our hostess made our stay so pleasant for us. A beautiful, comfortable nurturing base from which to enjoy Barrydale surrounds. Nuns & Roses was just the soft landing we all needed. It has everything! We did not expect the beautiful carrot cakes, bread, eggs, and milk in the fridge. It felt like coming home. We will definitely be back.

Cosy and comfortable. An oasis after a few days in the Karoo. Our stay at Nuns & Roses was fantastic. The place is beautiful, even in the depth of winter. We stayed in the St Vincent cottage. It is decorated beautifully, creating a wonderful and warm atmosphere. We were blown away by the provision of fresh fruit from the farm, handmade apricot jam, fresh milk, freshly baked sourdough bread and carrot cake muffins. It felt like coming home. Thanks to Frida for welcoming us in, and David who also checked in and welcomed us. I look forward to visiting the place in summer.

Great place to unwind and experience the Karoo. What a great stay! Communication from the host was amazing, staff were super friendly and the lovely setting made for a memorable weekend. The units were very well equipped and we were treated to freshly baked bread and fresh eggs from the host's own chickens.
