Baie rustig en 'n fantastiese kuier braai plek. Familie het Paasnaweek hier deurgebring - wonderlike kuiergeriewe - veral vir die kinders wat buite op die groot grasperk kon speel.

Family retreat. Being all together with the family in one place was amazing, though we do have some notes and suggestions. (1) Small to medium dogs can still escape under the gates (be warned); (2) it would be great if at least one kitchen had a microwave; (3) the dishwasher is not very effective and the dishes were not clean when we arrived; (4) hand wash in the kitchen would be great; (5) some showerheads are really small and have a narrow flow, and some showerheads are clogged with little to no flow; (6) the pool was deep but small and was not cleaned; (7) there was no TV despite it being an amenity mentioned; (8) the chairs in the dining room and in the one patio dining area were highly uncomfortable; (9) the beds are creaky; (10) there was a wasp hive in one of the bathrooms; (11) there are some bats living in the dining room light fixture; (12) a sponge to wash the dishes by hand would be great; (13) think about getting placemats and coasters; (14) providing instructions on how to use the oven would be useful; (15) checking the stock of tea, coffee and sugar before guests arrive would be good.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that your family enjoyed being together at Stars and Stones, as this is the exact experience we aim to create. We would however, like to clarify a few points for accuracy for future guests reading this review: TV - At the time of your stay, the TV was temporarily removed for repairs. We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused. The TV has since been returned and is fully operational. Nest - There is no wasp nest in the bathroom. What was observed was a preserved swallow's nest, which is common on working farms and forms part of the natural eco-system. Pool - The pool is an Eco-pool, designed to blend naturally into surroundings. Its brown outline can give the impression of a different colour, but it is neither unclean nor unusually small (9m x 5m). The Eco design is clearly reflected in our listing photos. Kitchen items - Dishwashing items, placemats and coasters are provided and are stored in the living room cupboard alongside the glassware, as shown in the listing images. Bats - At the time, small insect-eating bats were present in the roof near a light fixture and have since been professionally removed. As the property is located on a working farm, occasional wildlife sightings form part of the natural environment, which we actively manage to ensure guest comfort. We continuously maintain and inspect the property, and many of the items mentioned are either already provided or are part of the farm-style, eco-conscious experience clearly outlined in our listing.
