Stonecutters Nature Lodge is located between Dullstroom and Lydenburg and offers a 4-star country lodge with trout fishing in the Mpumalanga Highlands. It is 15 minutes from the Long Tom Pass and positioned near the Panorama Route.
Stonecutters is a great family destination or a romantic retreat for couples. This secure and scenic getaway offers upmarket accommodation combined with trout fishing. There are 2 well-stocked dams, a mountain hike with stunning views, and a 3 km river meander.
Accommodation includes the Cobbles Studios, Stone Cottage, and Trout House. The Cobbles Studios each sleep 2 adults in a double suite with a shower, bathroom and a kitchenette. Stone Cottage accommodates 2 adults and 2 children and has a king-size bed that can convert to twins, an additional single bed in the lounge, an en-suite bathroom, a separate toilet, and a kitchen. Trout House is a double-storey home with three en-suite bedrooms sleeping seven guests. All units have lounge areas and kitchens or kitchenettes.
On-site facilities include 2 fishing dams, a 3 km river meander, a mountain hike, a central lounge and dining area, a pub with a TV for sports events, a boardroom, outdoor seating, gas braai facilities, and a thatched boma. The property uses solar power and borehole water. Breakfast is available daily, with dinner by prior arrangement.
Attractions within 20 km include the Long Tom Pass, sections of the Panorama Route, local nature areas, and angling sites. The property is 3 hours from OR Tambo Airport and 2 and a half hours from Kruger National Park.
