Absolutely fantastic - right between the warthogs, goats and ibex. Nice braai, nice sleep, nice rest, but the biggest surprise was the nagapies in the Nagapie Hotel (wooden box high above the front door by the braai area). We can tell you about it, but it's better to experience it yourself. The Bush (Lowveld) is king and the feeling of life around you just makes you want to come back again and again, and "The Bush Hut" is definitely the right place to experience it!

We were there for work, so didn't actually spend much time at the unit. No problems experienced, and check-in was easy. Our host was friendly and helpful.

Lovely little forest house near the town. The Bush Hut offers neat, clean accommodation with nice, spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The unit is privately located and surrounded by natural woodland. The stairs to the upper floor are quite steep and slippery, but not a problem for older children. We loved the Hoedspruit Wildlife estate within which the Bush Hut was located; it offers walking and cycling routes, as well as forest shelters from which one can view animals. We saw several species of antelope, giraffes, quaggas and warthogs on the estate and even a hyena. However, the highlight was the cute night monkeys who live at the Bush Hut and came to say hello every night! There are several good restaurants and shops near the estate, and a cozy braai area at the unit itself. We would love to stay there again.

A peaceful woodland getaway. The cozy forest house was perfect for a peaceful getaway - just what we needed. Thank you for allowing us to check out a little later!

Short but just what was needed. We used the cottage more just for a place to sleep during a short weekend to Hoedspruit, but can definitely recommend it. The night owls' early morning visit, as the sun was rising and they were on their way to bed, was truly special for us.
