Relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. Our stay at the luxury farm cottage was just what we needed, a relaxing getaway from busy city lives. The rustic setting and elegant decor blended perfectly, creating a serene oasis in the picturesque orchards surrounded by majestic mountains. We loved the plush linens and comfortable beds with thoughtful touches like hot water bottles. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, with basics like tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper supplied, but we opted to braai (firewood supplied) each night on the covered patio, which has a table big enough to seat everyone easily. We walked to the dam, which is close by, and through the orchards before dipping in the swimming hole. The covered patio is a great place to watch the sugarbirds in the trees and the francolin on the lawn. The hot tub is a wonderful place to relax in the evening, listening to the little stream rushing by below and watching the moon rise over the mountains. Our hosts were warm and responsive to questions. Bonus that it is pet friendly. We all agreed that we would be back! Highly recommended.

A great spot to chill out with family! As a family celebrating two milestone birthdays, it was a wonderful spot to wind down and enjoy each other's company in a spectacular setting. The supplied equipment and firewood more than covered our needs. The tubes for use in the swimming hole were most welcome. Staring up at the clearest night sky from the fire pit was sublime. A few items we felt need attention: the bin drawer in the kitchen was broken and the bin had not been emptied prior to our arrival; the beds were all noisy; an overall spring clean would be great. A welcome addition would be rechargeable fans in the bedrooms during the summer. Overall we really enjoyed taking time out as a family. Next time we will bring our bikes!

Gorgeous location and a perfect friends getaway. The location is beautiful and you feel completely relaxed and one with nature. The house was great, and a bonus that each room had its own bathroom. There is a lot to do on the farm, and we could have stayed longer. The only suggestion I would make is to have fans in the bedrooms as it gets incredibly hot.
