The View Albert Falls is a self-catering accommodation establishment situated overlooking Albert Falls Dam. The property is set within a peaceful countryside environment surrounded by nature and wildlife. It is suited to guests seeking a relaxed rural stay with access to scenic views and outdoor activities.
Accommodation is provided in two self-catering cottages, namely Rose Cottage and Maflute’s. Rose Cottage accommodates up to 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one fitted with a shower only and the second fitted with a bath and shower. Maflute’s accommodates up to 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, with two en-suite bathrooms fitted with showers only and a third separate bathroom also fitted with a shower. In both units, the lounge area includes a sofa suitable for an additional child or guest. Bed linen is provided.
Each cottage contains a fully equipped kitchen fitted with a fridge-freezer, microwave, cookware, and a combination of gas and electric appliances, as well as a filter coffee machine. Indoor dining areas are provided and flow onto outdoor verandas furnished with seating and braai facilities. Rose Cottage includes wood and gas braai facilities and an outdoor cold-water shower tub. Maflute’s includes wood and gas braai facilities, an outdoor lounge area, a seasonal mini splash pool, and an outdoor cold-water shower tub. Both units include Wi-Fi.
The property is powered by solar and gas systems, with shared resources between the cottages and backup generators available when required. All cottages are equipped with fans, mosquito repellents, extra blankets, towels, shower soap, toilet paper, cleaning products, and firewood. An iron and an ironing board are also provided.
Additional appliances are available on request, including a smoothie blender, Weber rotisserie, and braai smoker, with guests required to bring their own wood chips.
The farm offers views in every direction and is home to a variety of wildlife, including impala, zebra, nyala, ostrich, giraffe, waterbuck, and blesbok, as well as numerous bird species and smaller wildlife. A range of activities is available nearby, including wildlife viewing, birdwatching, hiking, watersports, fishing, and scenic forest trails suitable for walking and mountain biking. Certain fees may apply, particularly at Msinsi Albert Falls Dam. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the outdoor environment, bring recreational equipment, or simply relax and reconnect with nature.
