Overlooking Albert Falls Dam and the Karkloof Hills, this scenic farm offers two independent self-catering cottages—ideal for guests seeking a relaxed and convenient countryside escape surrounded by nature and wildlife.
The Cottage accommodates up to 4 guests (5 on request) and features 2 small bedrooms and 2 separate bathrooms—one fitted with a shower only, and the other with both a bath and shower. The lounge includes a sofa suitable for a child.
The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge-freezer, microwave, cookware, and both gas and electric appliances, as well as a filter coffee machine. Guests can enjoy meals at the indoor dining table or relax on the outdoor veranda, which features wood and gas braai facilities and a dining area.
Additional features include Wi-Fi access and an outdoor cold-water shower-tub. The garden is open and not pet-friendly.
Maflute's accommodates up to 6 guests (7 on request) and consists of 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with showers, while the third bedroom has access to a separate bathroom with a shower. The lounge includes a sofa suitable for one child or adult.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, microwave, cookware, gas and electric appliances, and a filter coffee machine. The indoor dining area flows onto an outdoor veranda with a lounge, wood and gas braai facilities, and a dining table.
This unit also includes Wi-Fi, an outdoor cold-water shower-tub, and a mini seated pool. The garden is fully fenced, making it child- and pet-friendly.
All cottages are equipped with fans, mosquito repellents, extra blankets, a welcome hot beverage selection (tea, coffee, filter coffee, milk, and sugar), linen, bath towels, shower soap, toilet paper, cleaning products, and firewood. An iron and an ironing board are also provided.
Additional appliances are available on request, including a smoothie blender, Weber rotisserie, braai smoker (bring your own wood chips), and a Bluetooth music table.
For guests requiring mobility assistance, items such as a mobile toilet frame, shower chair, mini hospital table, wheelchair, push walker, and eggshell mattress can be provided on request.
The farm offers breathtaking views in every direction and is home to a variety of wildlife, including impala, zebra, nyala, ostrich, giraffe, waterbuck, blesbok, as well as numerous bird species, bats, and owls.
The property is fully powered by solar and gas, with shared resources between the cottages and backup generators available if needed.
Guests can enjoy a range of nearby activities such as wildlife viewing, birdwatching, hiking, watersports, fishing, and scenic forest trails for mountain biking and walking.
Smoking is permitted outdoors. Guests are encouraged to make the most of the outdoor setting—bring along games, sports gear, or simply relax and reconnect with nature in this peaceful environment.
