The View lodge offers accommodation on a hill in the Big 5 Mabalingwe Game Reserve, a malaria free area just 130 km from Pretoria. This self-catering house boasts unbelievable views of the dam and the mountains and is perfect for nature-loving families or couples looking for a romantic getaway. See the hippos from the veranda and listen to the lion's early morning roar and the fish eagle's call.

The View offers self-catering accommodation in a lovely 3-bedroom home that can accommodate a maximum of 6 adults and 2 children. The house is equipped with 2 aircons. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a romantic bath. The second bedroom has a king-size bed, and both bedrooms have views of the dam. The third bedroom has twin beds and a queen-size bed.

Michelle is an excellent hostess who answered all my questions and provided information before I even asked for it. Unit was spotless. A daily cleaning service was included in the price. A perfect bush getaway! Stayed at The View with my 2 adult sons. The lodge truly lives up to its name, offering breathtaking, panoramic views of the surrounding reserve. The layout is very spacious, providing plenty of room; the third bedroom is actually a loft accessed via wooden stairs (not for the very old!). The deck was our ultimate hangout spot to braai, chat and enjoy the sunsets. The lodge was pristine, modern and fully equipped. A special shoutout to the owner, who was extremely helpful with information and always available to ensure we had a perfect stay. I highly recommend it.

Perfect getaway for a family with kids. We loved this wonderful house with the incredible views, the pool, and all the gimmicks like outdoor showers/toilets, two grills, and more. Super host (thanks, Michelle), everything very clean and helpful, nice people in Mabalingwe.
