Peaceful, refreshing. We had a fabulous stay at Uitvlugt Farm. The campsite was beautiful with lovely views of the dam and mountains. There was electricity, warm water, clean ablution facilities and a lapa with tables, chairs, a braai area and a fridge. The owner was very friendly and made us feel welcome. A perfect weekend getaway, especially for a family.

Back to basics. We were camping, tranquil, beautiful scenery of the mountains and reservoir. Stayed 2 nights from the 30th to the 1st of January. Ablutions are clean and basic use a donkey system for warm water. Which we weren't to fussed about as it's already hot. We had issues with our tent setting up in the strong winds but got assistance from an angel with his family sitting in the communal area. Eventually one of the owners also came but we were already sorted. Just hung tight until it died down. We walked to the town as well which was nice. There is an older couple staying on the campsite permanently, his story really touched me, bless them. The only issue I would say was the tractor driving on the farm after 12 am New Year's, I guess they thought no one would be sleeping.
