Ideal as a first, comfortable, safe overnight stay for guests arriving by plane. Truly the BEST KEPT secret close to OR Tambo International Airport! I'm almost too scared to provide a positive review because that means others will flock to this excellent and spacious self-catering apartment, and we'll never get to book it again. But this truly is the BEST VALUE FOR MONEY I have come across as a seasoned traveller and hotel and home-based accommodation user. The apartment is very well appointed with real wood furniture (not flimsy pressboard), a comfortable lounge suite and bed, a fully equipped kitchen (including generous provisions of coffee, teas, sugar and milk), and quality finishes in the bathroom and everywhere else. This accommodation signifies true and traditional South African hospitality at its best. The only aspect to be aware of - as well documented on the website by the owner - is that there is a rather steep staircase. This is great for people like me who take the stairs instead of the lift, even if three sets of stairs are involved; especially after a long flight sitting. But you need to have the necessary muscle power to carry your luggage up the stairs without blowing like a steam engine once you're at the top. But once you're checked in and settled, you will agree that every step upstairs was worth it, especially considering the value for money!
