A peaceful getaway that slowed life down and filled us with calm and gratitude. This weekend felt like a gentle exhale we didn’t realise we'd been holding in. Being away with my husband and spending time with another couple reminded us how important it is to step out of routine and surround ourselves with moments that feel soft, warm and nourishing. We began the trip with dinner at Manley Wine Estate, which set the perfect tone. The food, the atmosphere, the easy company all felt comforting. We could feel the stress of the week slowly start to loosen its grip. The next morning started with something I’d been looking forward to: a massage at Vindoux. It was exactly what my body and mind needed, a quiet, calming pause. Afterwards, we enjoyed breakfast, still wrapped in that post-massage serenity. There was something incredibly grounding about sitting there with my husband, everything unhurried and peaceful. Our next stop was the Krone tasting at Twee Jonge Gezellen and it felt almost magical. The setting and the bubbles gave us a sense of calm we've been missing. I found myself appreciating the moment very much. We had lunch at Rijks Wine Estate, which was warm and full of laughter. Good food always tastes better when shared with people who bring light into your life. Later in the afternoon, we headed back to Vindoux for a gin tasting, which added a fun, playful energy to the day. By then I felt content in a way I rarely allow myself to feel - relaxed, present and grateful. We ended the day with dinner at Olive Bistro at the Tulbagh Hotel and it was the perfect closing note. Cozy, satisfying and full of the kind of conversations that make you feel connected. As the weekend came to an end, I felt a soft shift inside me. A reminder that joy doesn’t always come from big moments. It lives in shared meals, quiet mornings, good company and the willingness to breathe deeply. This wasn’t just a getaway. It was a reminder of who we are when life slows down enough for us to feel it. We will definitely be back.

Rustic en rustig. Heerlike verblyf met karakter en baie goeie waarde vir geld. Die ontvangs was baie aangenaam en die fasiliteite baie gerieflik.

Fantastic experience - great for couples. I was told by a friend that this place was fantastic, so the expectation was reasonably high, and it didn't disappoint. Due to availability of dates, we ended up staying in three different units over the 4 days, so we got to experience quite a bit of the property. We stayed in the smaller unit (Pinotage) and two treehouse units, which were very similar. The braai facilities were good and the braai packs were very tasty. There is a large lawn for kids to play, a nice deck to have breakfast on while watching the springbok, and a very large pool to provide relief from the heat. The gin tasting was fun, and the spa was fantastic. It's around the corner from wine, champagne, and olive farms and only a few minutes from town. The two additional impressive things were the inclusive breakfasts (for treehouse bookings) and the service we received. All the staff were fantastically pleasant and very accommodating. I generally have a preference for single dwelling self-catering accommodation away from everyone, and although I would put this in the ‘resort’ type category, it really didn’t feel like it and still felt quite private, while having staff available to assist with your needs. I can definitely see myself coming back.

Asemrowend, uitstekend en supervriendelike diens. Die aktiwiteite en die diens by Vindoux Guest Farm en Spa is baie goed. Die wooneenhede self was 'n uitdaging met duisende klein swart miertjies. Dit was 'n naweek van tussen 37 grade - 40 grade Celsius. Die afkoelfasiliteite in die eenhede was egter baie beperk. Net 'n dakwaaier wat slegs op 'n stadige spoed kan loop. Gelukkig was daar 'n swembad waarin ons kon afkoel. Goggas was egter aan die orde van die dag, veral snags.

Charming all round. We loved our stay at Vindoux. Accommodation was excellent and the staff are so friendly and helpful. You can pre-order braai meat, salads, cheese platters and even breakfast. It's well thought out and just a pleasure to stay there.
