Returning visitor - our second stay here. Lovely setting just outside of town. Plenty of safe, secure parking on the property. The braai facilities were great, and having the cooking area outside was actually a bonus – no food smells inside the room and a very pleasant outdoor cooking experience. Beautiful location and outstanding, empathetic, intuitive and caring staff. We had an absolutely beautiful week away at Waterland. The location is breathtaking and tranquil; the staff were the most outstanding humans. We left our doors unlocked the whole week, and the staff delivered a couple of packages to us straight to our dining room while we were out. I probably can't speak highly enough of our stay and the culture - it is evident that the owners take good care of their staff, and this is deeply felt by their guests. We weren't expecting anything close to the experience and downtime we got for the week. In my husband's words, "I feel like myself again" - we relaxed so hard!

Amazing. Our stay at Waterland Lodge was amazing! The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The beautiful garden felt like a little jungle, and the playground was perfect for children. The friendly dogs made the stay even more enjoyable, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. We will definitely stay here again on our way back to Cape Town!
