House Rules
We want you to feel relaxed and at home while helping us look after this special waterfront space.
No smoking indoors. Guests are welcome to smoke outside on the patio, where there is ample space and fresh air.
Waterfront setting: The home is located directly on the water. While this is part of its appeal, it may be less suitable for children under the age of 10, and adult supervision is essential around the jetty and canal at all times.
Wind awareness: Although the home is well sheltered, coastal winds can occasionally pick up. Please close doors and windows when the house is unattended or overnight to prevent damage to blinds and furnishings.
Appliances on prepaid: The air-conditioning, washing machine, and tumble dryer operate on a prepaid system. Clear instructions are provided in the house.
Boats and jetty use: Guests are welcome to bring their own boat and moor at the private jetty directly in front of the house. Use of the jetty and waterways is at guests’ own discretion and responsibility.
Damage & responsibility: We do not require a damage deposit and understand that normal wear and tear occurs, including the occasional broken glass or plate. However, guests remain responsible for any significant damage caused by negligence, misuse, or disregard of the house rules, including damage to glass doors, wooden floors, furnishings, the pool table, appliances, or the jetty. Any such damage may be recovered from the guest after departure in line with platform procedures.
Respect the neighbourhood: This is a quiet marina community. Please keep noise levels reasonable, especially in the evenings.
General care: We ask that the home and its contents be treated with care so that future guests can enjoy the same standard of comfort and quality.
