Wild Oak is a charming farmhouse-style property located in Barkly East, offering a peaceful countryside retreat surrounded by a beautifully maintained garden that spans four erven. With its large wraparound stoep, guests can enjoy relaxed coffee breaks while taking in the colourful display of flowers and roses in a tranquil setting.
The property welcomes solo travellers, business travellers, couples, families, and small groups, and can accommodate up to 10 guests across four well-appointed rooms. Two of the rooms (Rooms 1 and 2) are situated отдельно from the main house in the garden, providing added privacy. Room 1 sleeps up to three guests and is the only room with a bath, and includes a small fridge-freezer, microwave, and desk with chairs. Room 2 accommodates two guests and features a shower and microwave. Inside the main house, Room 5 sleeps up to three guests and includes a shower, microwave, and desk, while Room 6 accommodates two guests and also features a shower and microwave.
Each room is equipped with tea- and coffee-making facilities, while Room 1 includes a fridge-freezer. Fresh towels, shower gel, and hand gel are provided to ensure a comfortable stay. Wi-Fi is available, and pets are welcome by prior arrangement. Guests are kindly asked to keep gates closed at all times and to ensure that all doors, lights, geysers, and appliances are switched off upon departure.
Strict hygiene protocols are followed, with pillows, mattresses, rooms, bathrooms, and high-touch surfaces sanitised using F10 disinfectant between stays to ensure a clean and safe environment.
The property offers secure undercover parking for two vehicles, with additional space for two more vehicles within the fenced premises. Access is via Dale Street, while the main entrance is on Jameson Street, and guests are provided with a remote for convenient entry and exit.
Wild Oak also caters for small events such as baby showers, meetings, and group gatherings, with outdoor space accommodating up to 25 guests and indoor dining space for up to 10. Catering options, as well as packed breakfasts and lunch packs for day trips, are available on request and must be arranged in advance.
Guests can explore the charm of Barkly East, with a nearby restaurant, coffee shop, and gift shop within walking distance. The area also offers a golf course, trout fishing, hiking, and mountain biking opportunities. Essential amenities such as grocery stores, banks, fuel stations, medical facilities, including Cloete Joubert Hospital, and local services are all conveniently located within the town, making Wild Oak an ideal base for both relaxation and exploration.
