Winterhoek Farm Accommodation is situated on a working fruit farm approximately 14 km north of Tulbagh, nestled beneath the Winterhoek Mountains in a historic setting dating back to the early 1700s. The property is positioned within a natural garden landscape featuring mature oak and wild olive trees, where panoramic mountain views and a peaceful farm atmosphere are experienced. As a heritage farmhouse rebuilt after the 1969 earthquake, a simple and functional stay is offered within a setting that reflects its original character.
Accommodation is provided in a 3-bedroom self-catering farmhouse that can accommodate up to 6 guests. The first bedroom is furnished with a double bed, the second bedroom is furnished with 2 three-quarter beds, and the third bedroom is furnished with a double bed. Two bathrooms are provided, with one fitted with a bath and shower and the second bathroom fitted with a bath and en-suite access. The farmhouse maintains a traditional style with basic and functional furnishings throughout.
A kitchenette is provided and is fitted with 2 fridges, a microwave, toaster, kettle, stove, air fryer, snackwich maker, washing machine, cutlery, and kitchen essentials. An indoor fireplace is available for colder periods, while the living areas are designed to offer a comfortable and practical farm stay experience.
On-site facilities include a braai area and secure parking. The surrounding farm offers walking routes, fishing, birdwatching, and dam swimming at guests’ own risk, along with expansive mountain and valley views. Tulbagh town is located nearby and provides access to shops, restaurants, wine estates, and historical attractions. The property is located on a working farm where farm conditions apply, including fire restrictions with braais permitted only in designated areas and smoking strictly prohibited on the farm.
