"The main beach (some driving distance away) was unfortunately not very pleasant. There were alcohol bottles everywhere along with related shady characters. My 4-year-old daughter contracted Impetigo from the tidal pool and had to spend a night in the hospital. Oom At did warn us about all of this. The beach at the house is perfect, we were the only ones there and it was very clean and safe. The fishing was great!"

La Montagne"The beach felt safe and was clean. Hawkers at the steps to the beach did not harass holiday makers. I took a bit of cash to the beach as someone comes around to sell ice cream etc. "
"Umhlanga is altyd pragtig. Die mense is vriendelik en hulpvaardig. Ons besoek was nie vir rus of shopping of reis nie, dit was vir ’n familie-byeenkoms. So ons het basies net daar geslaap. "

"A lovely getaway area with stunning views. At the moment driving up to Underberg is rather concerning as the R617 has some serious potholes. However road works are taking place at certain spots. Travel carefully if going there."
"Lekker strand met baie getroue en aktiewe lewensredders wat reeds van vroeg af op strand is. Naby genoegsame doendinge en plekke. Openbare gebiede kan soms bederf word met onopgevoede lastige mense."

Beach Wood Cottages"Lovely beach with lots to do for the kids. Both a tidal pool and kiddies pool. Also lovely grass to sit on if you don't like beach sand under your feet... loved it!!"

"Pragtige plek! Die diens by restaurante (Clay Oven - hul pizzas is besonders, Fat Cat en die Golf Club - hulle chips en 8 massiewe prawns is heerlik!) was puik. Palm Grove Forest met die rooiknyper-krappe en Raffia Palms moet besoek word, dis uniek. Die strand is groot en oop en lok 'n mens uit om net verder en verder te stap."

205 Les Mouettes"For the first time ever, I was disappointed to see that there was quite a bit of litter on the beaches. Very sad as the beaches are so beautiful. "
