Breakage Deposit

A refundable breakage deposit of R2000 is payable directly to the property.

House Rules

Keys will only be handed over once full and final payment of the total booking value has been received.
A handling fee may be charged if keys are not returned to this address. Lost keys and replacement locks will be charged to the guest.
Once the deposit is paid to Plett Getaways, a lease agreement between the property owner and the guest is in place. Any changes to the lease may only be made with the mutual consent of both parties.
If the property cannot be occupied due to unforeseen circumstances that render it uninhabitable before the occupation date, the guest will be refunded in full by Plett Getaways.
The guest is responsible for the full rental amount, even if they choose to vacate the property before the agreed departure date.
The refundable retention (breakage deposit) may be used for replacing damaged or missing inventory items, repairing or replacing damaged furniture or fittings, covering telephone calls, special hire charges, unpaid rentals, or abnormal cleaning costs. Deposits will be refunded within 30 days of departure.
If an alarm system is installed, it must be armed whenever possible. All furniture, including patio furniture, must be stored inside the house overnight and whenever the property is unoccupied. The guest will be held liable for any losses or damages if these requirements are not followed.
The number of guests permitted is determined by the property description. No additional guests may stay without written consent from the agent. Unauthorised additional guests may result in immediate cancellation of the lease and eviction without refund.
Only the registered guest may occupy the property.
Matric Rage groups or students are not allowed.
Pets are not permitted unless prior arrangements have been made with Plett Getaways.
If applicable, guests must abide by all body corporate rules and regulations. A copy is provided in the property.
Bank charges for cash deposits, international transfers, and refunds are for the guest’s account. Plett Getaways reserves the right to refuse credit card payments at its discretion.
