Fantastic, friendly, safe and organised.

Friendly host, very accommodating and everything perfect as per our expectations. Everything that was needed was available.

Value for money and total relaxation. The Gorge attractions are in close proximity.

A great place to unwind away from the hustle and bustle. Total privacy and quietness. The host was very welcoming and accommodating. We need more ambassadors like these to make our getaway memorable.

This is a lovely, peaceful option for visiting Oribi Gorge. Brigitte was kind, generous, and so helpful with all questions. She went out of her way to welcome us and ensure we were comfortable. Highly recommended!

Beautiful and peaceful location, very private.

The weekend at Beechwood was like a mini holiday. Privileged to stay on a beautiful family farm, also lots to see and do in and around Oribi Gorge. The cottage is well-equipped with quality linen and equipment and everything needed for self-catering. Back-up plans for load shedding are in place.

Bietjie wegbreek uit die stad.

Oribi is 'n fantastiese plek om te besoek, of dit nou alleen is of saam met vriende/familie. Ek het die staproetes baie geniet. Die ontvangs was vriendelik by Beechwood Cottage. Baie behulpsaam. Sal dit aanbeveel aan vriende en familie.

My stay was amazing.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay and even though there was loadshedding, they assured us that there was backup power. The whole experience was absolutely amazing.

Perfect location and so peaceful.

The cottage was lovely. It was bigger than we thought. It is perfect for 4 adults since it has a bedroom and bathroom that is separate from the main unit.

Good quality of accommodation.

They where very friendly and always available when assistance was needed.

What a beautiful spot. The dam was such a great experience we got to see the most magnificent Fish eagle. Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing.

The hosts were amazing, from supplying wood, charcoal and firelighters for the braai to giving us access to the dam for fishing. We will definitely be back.

Beechwood Cottage is pragtig, die eenheid is skoon, netjies en toegerus met alles wat jy kan nodig kry (kombuisware, yskas en vrieskas, oorgenoeg komberse, muskietafweerder, selfs 'n wasmasjien). Daar is 'n heerlike stoep en braai-area met 'n pragtige uitsig. Dit is die perfekte plekkie vir 'n selfsorg-wegbreek en die rustigheid, stilte en mooi uitsig maak dit perfek vir uitrus. Dit is naby aan Leopards Rock, Oribi Gorge, en Lake Eland so daar is baie aktiwiteite binne 'n kort ry afstand. Brigitte is 'n wonderlike gasvrou en het ons met vriendelikheid ontvang.

Lieflike kothuis, netjies, groot, lekker naby aan al die aktiwiteite. Sal definitief weer die kothuis besoek!

Beautiful, peaceful and stress relieving.

Amazing from beginning to end. Well located. The setting was gorgeous. We loved watching the mist drift across the mountains from the lounge and patio. Great open but safe place (fully fenced) in front of the cottage for children to run and have fun. We had a visit from the Woolley Necked Stork- so tame. The hosts were lovely and hospitable. There when you need them, but then they leave you to relax and enjoy. The rustic decor of the cottage made it cosy and homely. All essentials are there - including drinking water and milk! Can't wait to go back!

Perfect!

Beachwood Cottage is the perfect place to stay to explore the Oribi Gorge. Safe and secure, close to the viewpoints and full of information. Rooms were spic and span clean and kitchen well equipped. Wood to braai and charcoal were provided for, so we could choose how to braai. For us the perfect stay and great value for money!

Ons het Beechwood Cottage gekies omrede die hotel vol bespreek was. Ek is bitter bly ek het besluit op Beechwood. Die waarde vir geld is ongelooflik met goeie privaatheid, baie spasie en die eenheid is goed versorg en netjies.

Really enjoyed it.

Well equipped, clean and comfortable cottage. First time, drinking water and milk supplied ─ impressed! Loved the bath and scenic views. Central to all tourist attractions. Definitely recommended.

Had a fantastic stay as a family with a small child. Very impressed with the furnishing and all the attention to detail. A huge bonus was the firewood which was delivered free of charge for the fire pit. The sunsets were incredible. Will happily recommend this place to friends. The flies were a bit irritating but a small price to pay for the beautiful horses on the property and the scenery.

Wonderful place.

We were very happy with the treatment at Beechwood and the facilities during our stay. The cottage is great quality, both because of its comfortable and appropriate facilities. My highlight was their decoration of the house. It had that homely feel, except that it was a bit cold, but other then that we had a great stay.

Stayed 2 nights for a wedding at Lake Eland.

Beechwood Cottage exceeded my expectations. It's a beautiful location with very helpful hosts. The rooms and facilities are of a very high standard.

This cottage is ideally located to some of the major areas of the Oribi Gorge. It was beautiful, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay here very much indeed.

The place was immaculate. Bridgette was an awesome hostess. What you saw is what you got. Appreciated the things she did to make us comfortable.

Lovely venue, great hosts, very helpful.

We enjoyed the stay at this peaceful and well-equipped venue. The hosts were really helpful and went out of their way to help during a huge storm that left the area without electricity. It is a great place to use as a spring board into the gorge and we will return again. We do recommend the venue.

Lovely place well situated.

We enjoyed staying at Beechwood cottage with friends. There was charcoal for the braai and wood for the fire pit so we could sit up late and appreciate the surroundings.

Awesome stay.

The accommodation was awesome, clean and convenient to all the necessary places we need to be, quiet and very clean. Everyone was polite. One point though, they need to cater to decoder that are PVR or Explora compatible. We came with our own and we couldn't connect it. Overall it was a beautiful stay.

Miss it already.

The weather was bit of a letdown, but besides that, I have no complaints. A re-do is on the horizon. Thanks a lot to our host, very soft-spoken and kind.

Relaxed farm atmosphere within Oribi.

Farm like atmosphere. Peaceful and quiet. Staff willing to assist. Property clean and well maintained. Only drawback of farm with horses are the persistent and painful flies.

Bankbeddens in sitkamer is nie gemaklik nie - miskien vir kleuters onder 5 jaar!

Great place to stay! A lovely cottage and friendly people.

Dit was vir ons familie 'n wonderlike gemaklike week saam.

Dit was 'n perfekte ligging en heerlik om alles daar te hê wat mens nodig het. Wat ons familie baie getref het is ons baie laat na 'n baie lang pad die aand daar aangekom het en die woonplek het alles gehad om die volgende oggend te oorleef voor ons kon gaan inkopies doen. Die heerlike tuisgebakte beskuit was 'n wenner. Die lekkerste was as ons die middae moeg teruggekom het was ons plekkie pragtig skoon. Ons reis gereeld en dit is definitief een van die beter, gemaklike, goed toegeruste plekkies waar ek al gebly het. Ek kan die plekkie definitief aanbeveel, ons het heerlik gekuier en die gasvryheid van die eienaars was 'n riem onder die hart.

Very quiet and peaceful, beautiful accommodation.

Gerieflik, ruim, netjies, vriendelike ontvangs en personeel, laat jou tuis voel.

Brigitte het ons vriendelik ontvang. Die verblyf was netjies en skoon met ons aankoms en is deurgaans so gehou deur personeel wat die eenheid daagliks kom diens het. Die omgewing is pragtig, rustig en veilig met genoeg ruimte vir die kleinspan. Sal dit beslis enige tyd aanbeveel. Die ligging is ideaal indien jy die Oribi Gorge area wil besoek maar effens ver, maar steeds binne trefafstand van die strande af (+-25km). Baie dankie aan Brigitte en Heinz vir 'n aangename tyd by Beechwood Cottage.

A most enjoyable few days.

It was most enjoyable but we are unable to be totally objective resulting from the adverse weather conditions which is beyond the control of anybody.

Pragtige en netjiese blyplek op 'n plaas. Gasvrou doen verskriklik baie moeite om seker te maak die verblyf is gerieflik.

Rustig en ontspannend.

Brigitte is 'n wonderlike gasvrou wat baie moeite doen. Die kothuis is geleë 25 km vanaf Shelly, weg van die lawaai van vakansiegangers. Die huis is netjies en skoon met alles wat jy nodig het - tot 'n wasmasjien. Dis ideaal vir bergfietsryers. Kan dit vir seker aanbeveel!

Dit was 'n fantastiese, onvergeetlike vakansie!

Dit sal altyd 'n goeie herinnering wees. Baie dankie aan julle en die eienaars. Ek was beïndruk met my aankoms by Beechwood Cottage. Alles was netjies en skoon, en is so gehou gedurende my verblyf. Ek het heerlik gekuier en lekker uitgerus na 'n besige en stresvolle jaar. Dit het gevoel asof ek in my eie huis is. Die uitleg het nie veel verskil nie. Sal vir seker weer in die toekoms daar wil kuier.

Baie sentraal geleë en naby aan alle besienswaardighede. Dit is ten volle toegerus met 'n braaier en braaihout .

Ons ligte is die aand deur weerlig uitgeslaan. Binne sekondes was die eienaars daar met kerse en het aangebied om vir ons kos te gee. Gelukkig het die ligte na 5 min aangekom.

Awesome stay.

We had an awesome stay, always in the afternoon we came back to a clean and relaxing environment after a long day. They even provided us with the complimentary tickets to Eland Game Reserve, getting to observe amazing views of the Oribi. Thanks a lot to Brigitte for having us at her cottage.

Cottage was extremely homely and afforded us a lot of privacy.

Perfect for a quiet weekend away from the stress of everyday. Just ensure you fill up your tank before settling in for the weekend.

Lovely cottage in the perfect location for what we needed. Very nice to have charcoal available to use. Cottage was very clean and very well equipped. We had a lovely stay!

Baie aangenaam en verwelkomend. Kan aanbeveel, selfs vir vier mense!

Met die eerste oogopslag was ons beïndruk met die woning. Dis wanneer jy van nader kyk en instap, wat mens onmiddellik gemaklik en tuis voel. Die eienaars is vreeslik vriendelik en tegemoedkomend. Daar is hout verskaf met braai "briquette" en self ook 'n vol bottel melk met ons aankoms. Die yskas is 'n behoorlike grootte en alles is baie skoon en netjies. Die woning is ook naby die Zipline en Oribi Gorge Hotel wat besienswaardighede het met heelwat dinge om te doen. Die enigste ding was dat ons nie besef het om ons eie DStv-dekodeerder te vat nie, maar op navraag het die eienaars aangedring om hulle s'n te gebruik. Ek kan nie wag om weer daarheen te gaan en die gasvryheid en rustigheid van Beachwood cottage te ervaar nie.

Wens dit was langer!

Baie aandag aan detail en gemak. 'n Pragtige groot bad en stort. Ideaal vir 'n rustige wegbreek of as basis om die omgewing te ontdek.

Ons het vir 5 dae by Brittige se Beechwood Cottage gebly. Die huis is baie mooi afgerond en het alles wat jy sal benodig. Al die pragtige en die avontuurlike aantreklikhede in die Oribi Gorge-omgewing is binne 20 minute se ry vanaf Beechwood Cottage. As jy 'n plekkie soek wat lekker rustig is waar jy kan ontspan, is Beechwood Cottage die antwoord.

Beechwood cottage is just the holiday accommodation that you are looking for. Peace and quiet. No rush from the busy towns. And the atmosphere is wonderful, it's if your home. The cottage is fully equipped with just about everything you could need. Thanks to the owners - Heinz and Bridget. We will definitely visit again.

Really well equipped. Great location, close to the beach and the gorge.

Exceptional. The cottage is very well equipped, better than expected. Heinz and Brigitte were awesome hosts. Had a such a peaceful time. The cottage is nice and private away from the main entrance to the farm. Worth every cent we paid. Will definitely go back there again.

Excellent facilities at Beechwood Cottage.

I found Beechwood Cottage to be modern, well-equipped, extremely neat, tidy and clean! It is tastefully decorated and the kitchen is well equipped. The bathrooms are a pleasure to use. I was absolutely pleased at having the full DStv bouquet on offer as well, as we were able to watch some Currie Cup rugby after a long day in the Oribi Gorge and Lake Eland. It was a pleasure to stay at Beechwood and I would highly recommend it to other people.

Boma and outdoor stoep stimulated hours of conversation time. Very thoughtful host, even firewood and charcoal were provided.
