A unique and peaceful getaway! We really enjoyed our overnight stay at Butlersrail @ Butlershaven! The old train set really gives that feeling of “stepping back in time”, but inside it is neat, air-conditioned and wonderfully quiet. The farm is beautiful and well-kept, and we are sure we heard a train go by while we were braaiing outside! The hostess was friendly and very accommodating with our late arrival and even a last-minute braai pack. A fantastic, peaceful place to stay – definitely worth it for anyone travelling on the N12!

Had a great time on the train. It was a nice experience to be able to sleep in the old train. My son really enjoyed it. Very neat. Thank you very much for all your effort.

Unique and special stay on a train. This great accommodation makes one long for the days when train travel was still a big part of our lives. Everything is very comfortable and beautifully furnished, and the hospitality is exceptional.
