Celtis Country Lodge & Restaurant is a luxury, upmarket guest house in the Karoo Heartland town of Middelburg. Situated on the N9/N10, halfway between Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), Johannesburg or Pretoria, and the Garden Route, makes Celtis your perfect halfway stop.

The Lodge has a variety of accommodation options. The guest house offers en-suite rooms that have been exquisitely furnished.

Celtis Country Lodge operates on solar energy during loadshedding periods, which will ensure lights in all the bedrooms, restaurant and communal areas remain on. A lush and tranquil garden with a swimming pool, play area and wide, open spaces will invite you to Celtis Restaurant, that is fully licensed with an à la carte, Karoo-style menu.

The Lodge also offers a contemporary furnished conference venue with tailor-made packages, with a dedicated team that will ensure a memorable experience.

Guests can also recharge their electric vehicles at our EV charging station, while enjoying a coffee at Celtis Restaurant.

For the more adventurous, trips can be arranged within a radius of 70 km from Middelburg to do 4x4 routes, hiking, river rafting, and viewing of fossils and stone art.
