House Rules
Although dogs are very welcome at the property, guests are kindly requested to observe the following guidelines:
- Dogs are not permitted on the beds, as the blankets collect hair and the black clay soil of Clarens may stain sheets and duvets.
- Dogs may not be left alone or locked inside the house or on the property, as they tend to bark continuously when unattended. While all owners believe their dogs are well-behaved, dogs often behave differently in unfamiliar environments. The property is situated in close proximity to other holiday homes, and continuous barking may disturb neighbouring guests.
- Although every effort has been made to secure the yard, the owners and house manager cannot be held responsible should dogs escape the confines of the property.
- Clarens, its shops and restaurants are very pet-friendly and often provide water bowls inside or outside their establishments.
- When out and about in town or in the nature reserve, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
- Prior to check-out, guests are kindly requested to clean the yard of any dog waste and dispose of it in the outside patio bin.
